Muhurta is a productivity tool that applies Vedic astrological timing principles to daily planning. By using Muhurta, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimers.
The app provides timing guidance based on Vedic astrology (Jyotish). This content is informational only and is designed to support your decision-making — it does not predict the future and does not constitute medical, financial, psychological, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions in those domains.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Muhurta. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Accounts are created using your email address via magic link authentication. You are responsible for:

Every new account starts with a 3-day free trial of Muhurta Lite — full Lite-tier access, including a limited number of Vedic Companion questions, with no payment method required to start. No charge is made at signup and none will be made automatically when the trial ends: since no card is collected, there is nothing to auto-charge. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, personalized features are paused until you choose a plan — your personal daily score, Focus Now/Defer insights, domain breakdown, hourly timing overlays (Choghadiya, Kaal Vela), forecast beyond today, and Vedic Companion become unavailable. You still see a shared, non-personalized daily reading and today's Panchanga. Your account, profile, and past data are preserved and nothing is deleted.
After the trial — or at any time, without waiting for a trial — Muhurta offers the following paid plans:
Prices are set in US dollars (or Indian rupees, where offered). The final price and any applicable taxes are calculated and displayed to you at checkout before you confirm payment. Depending on your location, the price shown may be converted to your local currency and may already include applicable taxes.
Vedic Companion message packs (one-time purchase). Separately from a subscription, you may buy a one-time message pack for the Vedic Companion feature, priced as shown at checkout, which includes 48 messages. Message packs may only be purchased while you hold an active Premium subscription. This is a single, non-recurring charge — it does not renew automatically. Purchased messages are added to your account as credits. Message packs are consumed as you use the feature and do not expire while your account is active. If your Premium subscription later lapses or is cancelled, any unused purchased messages are not lost — they remain in your account but become temporarily unusable until you resubscribe to Premium, at which point they become available again. Purchasing a pack does not grant access to other premium features, which require an active subscription.
How payments are handled. Payments for Muhurta subscriptions and one-time purchases are sold and processed by Stripe acting as the merchant of record. This means that, for the payment transaction, Stripe (and, where applicable, Link) is the seller of record: Stripe processes your payment, calculates, collects and remits any applicable sales taxes, VAT or GST, issues your invoice or receipt, and provides transaction-level payment support. Muhurta remains the provider of the underlying service and digital content. A separate section, "Merchant of Record", explains this further.
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the selected interval. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
Downgrading from Premium to Lite takes effect at the end of your current Premium billing period — you keep full Premium access through the period you've already paid for, and the Lite plan (and its price) begins at your next renewal. Downgrading does not entitle you to a partial refund of the current period.
Promotional codes. From time to time we may offer promotional or discount codes. Each code is subject to its own conditions (eligible plan, expiry date, and whether the discount applies once or recurs). Where a code is marked as applying once, the discount applies only to the first eligible charge; subsequent renewals are billed at the standard price shown at checkout.
Right of withdrawal. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving any reason. However, by subscribing and immediately accessing Muhurta's paid features (Lite or Premium — which constitute digital content), you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. This applies equally to to both Lite and Premium plans. Outside of this framework, fees paid for the current billing period are non-refundable.
Message packs. A Vedic Companion message pack is digital content supplied immediately. By purchasing and starting to use it, you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once messages have been used. Any messages already used are non-refundable.
Service Discontinuation and Refunds. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue any feature, service, or subscription plan at any time. If we permanently discontinue your active paid subscription plan, you may be eligible for a prorated refund strictly for the unused portion of that subscription. Please note that the modification or removal of individual features within an active subscription plan does not entitle you to a refund. To request a refund for a discontinued subscription, please contact us at getmuhurta@gmail.com within 30 days of the discontinuation announcement.
Muhurta Pack's question credits are non-refundable consumable add-ons designed exclusively for use within an active Premium subscription. If your Premium subscription is inactive at the time the subscription plan is discontinued, these credits cannot be utilized and are not eligible for a refund.
Refunds and payment disputes. Because Stripe is the merchant of record for these transactions, refund requests and payment disputes for card charges are handled through Stripe's merchant-of-record process. You can start a refund or billing enquiry by contacting us at getmuhurta@gmail.com, and we will assist you in coordinating with Stripe where required. This does not affect your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.
Purchases through Apple. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms and your Apple Media Services agreement. Manage or cancel such subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
For payments, Muhurta uses Stripe's managed payments service. Under this arrangement, Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. This means:
Muhurta (Koval Iryna, Autónomo, Spain) remains responsible for providing the app, its features, and its content, and for support relating to the service itself. Your use of the payment flow is also subject to Stripe's and Link's own terms and privacy notices, presented to you at checkout.
New accounts begin with a 3-day free trial of Muhurta Lite, starting at signup. During the trial you get full Lite-tier access — including 7-day forecasts, panchanga, planetary horas, and 3 bonus Vedic Companion questions — with no payment method required.
If you subscribe to Lite or Premium before the trial ends, your plan continues uninterrupted at the price and terms shown at checkout. If you do not subscribe, personalized features are paused when the trial ends: your personal daily score, Focus Now/Defer insights, domain breakdown, hourly timing overlays, and forecast beyond today become unavailable, and Vedic Companion access closes completely (0 questions, down from the trial's 3). You continue to see a shared, non-personalized daily reading and today's Panchanga. Your account, saved data, and Identity map remain intact, and full access resumes as soon as you subscribe.
Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per person, consistent with the "One account per person" rule described in User Accounts above.
Muhurta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Astrological timing information is based on traditional Vedic frameworks and is provided for informational and planning purposes only.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes. Astrological guidance must not be used as the sole basis for significant personal, financial, health, or legal decisions. Muhurta is not a substitute for professional advice in any domain. Please read our full Disclaimers (AI, medical, and astrology).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all liability for losses or damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service.
Your use of the Muhurta mobile application is also governed by an End User License Agreement (EULA). Where you download the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement additionally applies, and any conflict between it and our EULA is resolved in favour of the stricter user protection.
All content, algorithms, design, and software within Muhurta are the property of Koval Iryna and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without prior written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the service in a manner that harms other users or the platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations.
Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Inactive accounts. If you do not log in to Muhurta for a continuous period of 180 days, we may delete your account and its associated personal data, including your profile, saved preferences, and history. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you at the email address associated with your account before deletion. This does not affect billing and transaction records we are legally required to retain, as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from your use of Muhurta shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa), Spain. This does not deprive you, as a consumer, of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
If you are an EU consumer, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Any updates will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our platform, and we will update the "Last Updated" date accordingly.
However, if we make material changes that negatively impact your current active paid subscription, we will provide you with reasonable advance notice (e.g., via email or an in-app notification) before those specific changes apply to your account. Your continued use of the service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
